Advertisement: Climb the second highest sand dune in California and sled, slide or roll down.
More photographs.
Difficulty: 3 miles, 700 feet of elevation gain. It's a little more difficult than it sounds because it's entirely on sand.
Preparation: None; lots of water. A sled or trash lid if you want to slide down the dunes. For routefinding, just head toward the highest dune and that's it.
Summary: A fun hike! 4/5
